Karunagappally tragedy: Fire doused

Karunagapally: Fireforce officials and police have managed to douse the fire from the tanker lorry which collided and exploded in the wee hours of Thursday. As many as 25 fire fighting engines and 150 fire fighters toiled for six hours to douse the fire and bring the situation under control. By 11 am the fire was completely put out. Fire fighters doused the fire after keeping the danger zone cool and not spraying water directly to the tanker. Three suffered burns while carrying out the rescue works.
